Two Injured in Street Race Crash
On Monday night, a street race crash sent two people to the hospital in San Diego. The incident happened on University Avenue in the Chollas Creek area at around 11:30 p.m. According to Fox Channel Five News, a driver lost control of a car during an illegal street race, and then struck a parked car.
A pedestrian nearby was hit by flying glass from the impact. The pedestrian suffered from reportedly minor injuries. The driver was transported to an area hospital’s trauma center for treatment of a head injury. At this time, there’s no word on the driver’s current condition, or whether or not an additional driver was found or apprehended.
